Before wedding season starts in full swing, I wanted to get a little creative with my camera. I put together a simple and elegant spring-inspired wedding editorial photoshoot at The Ballroom at the Reserve. I was lucky enough to host the shoot at the incredible Ballroom at the Reserve in Neenah, WI.

This wedding venue is located downtown Neenah, WI. It has so much character from the grand architecture to the tall windows with incredible amounts of natural light, to the ballroom style rooms where you can host your wedding ceremony and reception. There are beautiful wood staircases leading up to the top floor where the venue is located. The bridal suit is on the second floor with endless spots for a first look or grand ceremony entrance.

I got to work with some other incredible vendors to bring together my vision. I wanted an enchanted forest theme wedding with inspiration from spring colors. When I was talking about my vision for this shoot, Ivory Rose Bridal Boutique was on board with the whimsical and magical look of my mood board. They picked out the perfect wedding dress with beautiful details and elegant sleeves. It even unbuttoned to turn into a strapless dress!

Starstruck Artistry makeup and hair out of Oshkosh, WI completed the brides look with the most stunning spring inspired colors with pops of pink and purples to match the florals from Branching Out & CO. Jennifer with Starstruck also complimented the brides look with a casual half updo for the hair.

I also wanted to keep the groom’s style casual with a touch of class. We chose to leave it casual with no tie, but dressed it up with florals. I wanted to showcase a different style for grooms, especially if they don’t want to go with a tie or bowtie. To be honest, I never ever thought of working with a custom suit vendor until I met Jon Liesener with Suited LLC in Neenah, WI. This was, hands down, the best experience as a wedding photographer. It was amazing to have someone help pick out the perfect color and fit for the groom. The groom model even mentioned how great of an experience it was picking out a suit that was custom fit for him that he will wear for so many things – even his upcoming wedding!
